The Lancaster Express has learned exclusively that Brett R. Miller, 48 a Guidance Counselor
at Warwick Middle School and an East Hempfield Township Supervisor will enter the State
Representative race in the 41st District.  The seat is currently held by 4 term State
Representative Katie True who announced in December that she would not seek a 5th term.

Several Hempfield committee people, on condition of anonymity, confirmed that they had been
contacted by Brett Miller within the last day to seek their endorsement for his candidacy. In
addition, they were told by Miller that he had mailed letters asking for that endorsement which
were expected to arrive Monday January 11 or Tuesday January 12.

Prior to Miller's announcement, Lancaster County Clerk of Courts, Ryan Aument, was the only
candidate seeking to fill the seat.  Several individuals including former GOP Chairman and
current West Hempfield Supervisor Dave Dumeyer were expected to join the race, but opted
out.
